About The Position

Ottawa University is seeking a Graduate Assistant Baseball Coach to assist with the day-to-day management of the Baseball team. This role requires a commitment to Christian higher education and a servant leadership style. The position involves some night and weekend work.

Requirements

• Must be accepted and enrolled in an Ottawa University graduate program
• Completed online admissions application
• Required application fee
• Submission of official undergraduate transcripts (3.0 GPA – minimum requirement) earned bachelor’s degree
• Submission of a personal statement regarding career goals and three professional references
• Other items as identified by the specific academic program
• Completed employment application
• Cover letter and resume
• Eligible to work in the United States and present the proper documentation
• Background in hitting, base running with heavy emphasis in infield play
• Commitment to Christian higher education
• Utilize servant leadership style of leadership

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train and coach members of the Baseball program
• Background in hitting, base running with heavy emphasis in infield play
• Recruit, retain and graduate student-athletes who contribute to the success of the program and vibrancy of campus life
• Fund and friend raising for the advancement of the program
• Provide oversight of student-athletes academic progress toward degree completion
• Assist with any and all administrative duties as assigned
• Insure adherence to the NAIA and rules and regulations including the NAIA Champions of Character 5 core values
• Provide leadership for campus involvement and community service
• Provide Christ-centered leadership and direction for the Baseball program
• Other duties as assigned
