Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Architecture or Associate in Architectural Engineering.
1-5 years of professional experience
Proficiency in current versions of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

Working towards Masters of Architecture preferred.
Experience in industrial, commercial or municipal projects preferred
Knowledge of Revit and Adobe Design Suite is a plus
Working towards licensure in the State of Michigan is a plus
Produce high-quality architectural technical drawings and specifications.
Demonstrates effectiveness in working in a team setting, communicating with others, client satisfaction and technical competence
Strong organizational skills, accuracy and dependability
Capable of carrying out independent assignments with minimal supervision
Understanding of building systems, construction practices and methodologies
Adept at problem solving
Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and time management skills
Ability to safely work in industrial and construction settings when needed
Artistic and visual communication ability

Responsibilities

Reports to the Project Manager in charge of the assigned project
Work in support of architectural design and development of projects (CAD, code research and application, product research and application, cost estimating and application of other programs & technology)
Client interaction for review of design and planning concepts
Prepare design development and construction documents, including details and specifications
Construction administration, including shop drawing review, RFIs and job site observation
Provide external communications via telephone calls and/or email, and prepare correspondence as required by various projects
Communicate with consultants and manufacturers
Prepare 2-D and 3-D color renderings of design concepts
