About The Position

The Graduate College at Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Graduate Admissions Coordinator in Boca Raton, FL. The Graduate Admissions Coordinator supports the Graduate College’s admissions and academic operations by reviewing and processing graduate applications, maintaining applicant records, and ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures. The position collaborates with academic departments and internal Graduate College units to facilitate timely admissions decisions, program updates, reporting, and administrative support.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Review admissions applications and audit applicant records.
  • Review applicant files upon receipt of transcripts to determine eligibility for referral to academic colleges for decision-making.
  • Assist with transcript management in Banner and OnBase in accordance with Graduate College protocols.
  • Process admissions decisions in Banner, including clearing registration holds, issuing acceptance packets, and sending decision letters.
  • Process requests for change of program, change of entry term, withdrawals, reactivations, and inactivation's.
  • Support centralized application system (e.g., certificate programs and new program setups).
  • Provide cross-functional support using Banner, OnBase, CRM systems, and other platforms and software.
  • Collaborate with academic departments on application review, academic requirement updates, and development of new programs.
  • Work with the Graduate College teams: Graduate Admissions, Academic Services and Degree Completion, Budget, and Marketing & Communications to ensure timely curricular updates for Graduate Admissions purposes.
  • Provide policy and procedural support to admissions staff and advisement to the Director of Graduate Admissions.
  • Assist the Director of Graduate Admissions with administrative tasks, including development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, procedures, forms, and systems.
  • Assist in preparing regular and special reports and research.
  • Attend meetings on behalf of the Director of Graduate Admissions, Graduate Dean, or Associate Dean as needed.
  • Participate in Graduate College admissions events and other assigned projects.
  • Assist with monitoring and tracking Graduate College financial activities, such as the fellowships.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures.
  • Perform other job-related responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Graduate Admissions, Graduate Dean, Associate Dean, or designee.
