About The Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Graduate Accountant to join our Global Corporate Head Office based in Dandenong South. Working alongside our Senior Finance team, this is a varied and hands-on role where you will support financial processes and contribute to reporting across a group of companies and trusts. Daniels is a large international business operating across Australia, USA, UK, Canada and South Africa. Our work spans manufacturing, transport, distribution and the treatment of healthcare waste. We also manage a growing investment and property portfolio, along with two major charitable foundations with over $50m invested.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Good understanding of reconciliations and financial principles
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and finance systems
  • Ability to adapt and work in a changing environment
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work in a team
  • Willingness to undertake CPA or CA

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly reporting packs and associated reports for assigned entities
  • Assist with actual and forecast cash flow reporting
  • Process month-end journals
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and analysis
  • Maintain fixed asset registers
  • Process and reconcile intercompany transactions
  • Reconcile non-operating entities on a quarterly basis
  • Prepare weekly and monthly bank reconciliations (local and foreign currency)
  • Assist with preparation of BAS returns across multiple jurisdictions
  • Prepare reports as required by management
  • Support the wider finance team as needed
