About The Position

If so, this is your opportunity to work for the Kentucky Department of Revenue. The Office of Registration and Operations, Division of Operations, has an opening for a Graduate Accountant I position. We are seeking a highly motivated, hardworking individual to join our team. As a Graduate Accountant I for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, you will be responsible for compiling and analyzing financial data for auditing purposes between the Department of Revenue financial postings.
Requirements
- Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree (which includes twenty semester hours or thirty quarter hours in accounting).
- Must successfully complete a background investigation including an FBI criminal history record check (fingerprint check).
- Must comply with all tax laws.
Nice To Haves
- Professional experience in Kentucky State Government accounting will substitute for the education on a year- for-year basis.
Responsibilities
- Creating eMARS financial documents.
- Performing detailed and technical monthly reconciliations using various DOR and Finance systems for electronic payments.
- Ensuring the safety and confidentiality of taxpayer information, data, and records.
- Working with other areas within the Division when necessary.
- Performs other duties assigned.
