Banks Construction Company is looking for hardworking, dependable individuals who are interested in starting or growing a career in the heavy highway construction industry. You’ll work alongside experienced crews, learn the basics of grading or asphalt paving, and gain valuable skills that can lead to long-term growth in construction. As a Grading or Asphalt Paving Technician, you’ll support our field crews with hands-on construction work. This is an entry-level field position with the opportunity to learn from experienced team members and grow within the company. Depending on the crew you are assigned to, you may help with: Supporting grading or asphalt paving operations on active jobsites Assisting equipment operators and other crew members Shoveling, raking, luting asphalt, and hand grading as needed Using hand tools and power tools safely Helping prepare areas for paving, grading, or site work Learning how roads, parking lots, highways, and large commercial sites are built Working as part of a crew to complete projects safely and efficiently Our crews work on a variety of projects, including commercial sites, secondary roads, highways, interstates, ports, and other major infrastructure projects across the Charleston area.

Previous construction experience is helpful, but not required. We are willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities

Supporting grading or asphalt paving operations on active jobsites
