Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience operating earth-moving equipment such as dozers and backhoes.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and safety standards.
- Ability to maintain, inspect, and clean equipment efficiently.
- Keen eye for detail and situational awareness.
- Conscientious work ethic.
- Physical capabilities, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 90 pounds, and navigating uneven surfaces.
- Prior experience in grading.
- Ability to read grade stakes and plans.
- Respectful demeanor towards colleagues, customers, and the public.
- Flexibility in working hours.
- Teamwork.
- Self-motivation.
- Knowledge of proper operation of heavy equipment as well as safety standards.
- Ability to maintain, inspect, clean, and occasionally repair heavy equipment.
- Keen attention to detail and situational awareness to maintain the safety of the work environment.
- A strong work ethic; Employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time and to stoop, bend, and crouch as required.
- Able to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Willing to perform some manual labor as needed and directed by supervisor.
- Reliable transportation to and from the Albemarle Office or Jobsite.
