Nimitz Elementary School is seeking a passionate and dedicated K-2 Special Education teacher to join our dynamic team. Our school is committed to providing a positive learning environment where students are active participants in learning that is relevant to present and future needs. While we primarily serve the military community, our campus is not on a military base.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit upon hire
Nice To Haves
- Valid Special Education license from the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board
- Special education classroom experience in a K-12 school setting
Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings
- Exercise independent and professional judgment in carrying out daily functions
