About The Position
The Meadowbrook School of Weston is seeking a fifth-grade educator for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a mission-driven school committed to offering students a well-rounded, rigorous education that often challenges students beyond their grade level, particularly in reading and math. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated background or interest in cultural competency, curriculum development, and technology integration. This is a co-teaching position, requiring strong communication, relationship-building skills, flexibility, and collegiality. Meadowbrook's lower school faculty are dynamic, motivated, and passionate teachers dedicated to the development of young children, fostering confidence, self-advocacy, learning understanding, leadership, responsibility, and citizenship. Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least two years teaching experience
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a team/co-teaching environment
- Knowledge of and/or teaching experience with Singapore Math
- Experience with managing performance-based groups for reading and math
- Demonstrated background and/or interest in cultural competency, curriculum development, and technology integration.
- Understanding of the social emotional development of fifth graders.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills, flexibility, and collegiality.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree
- Experience and understanding of Reading and Writing Workshop
- Experience and understanding of the teaching of social studies.
Responsibilities
- Teach fifth-grade students.
- Co-teach with two other teachers on the team.

- Help students develop a furthered understanding of how they learn.
