The Elementary Teacher is responsible for the instruction of designated content area(s)/course(s) in a classroom setting within an elementary school. All district employees must demonstrate regular and predictable attendance, support the district’s vision, mission, goals, and Strategic Plan, engage in civility, respect, and professionalism, and maintain the professional knowledge and skills necessary to perform their duties. The role involves designing and implementing instruction aligned with state standards and district curriculum, creating a positive and respectful educational climate, delivering engaging lessons, utilizing diverse teaching methodologies, observing and evaluating student performance, managing student behavior, communicating with parents and staff, ensuring student safety, maintaining confidential records, and completing required professional development.
