About The Position

Immanuel Christian Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic professional educator to join their team for the 2026-27 school year as a Grade 3 Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English Language Arts and Literature, Math, Social Studies, Bible, PEW, Art, and Science in a grade 3 classroom. The school offers a distinctively Christian program that integrates faith, learning, and service, challenging students to play an active role in God's story, and follows the Alberta curriculum. The school serves approximately 240 students and operates through a partnership between the Society for Christian Education in Southern Alberta and the Lethbridge Division School Board.

Requirements

  • Possess or be eligible to obtain an Alberta Teaching Certificate.
  • Submit a philosophy of Christian Education as part of the application.
  • Provide one reference for their current pastor.
  • Provide a police information check, including Vulnerable Sector Check, with no charges or convictions.
  • Provide a satisfactory Intervention Record Check from South Region Alberta Child and Family Services.
  • Provide proof of photo identification.
  • Provide documentation of a valid Social Insurance Number in the employee’s legal name.

Responsibilities

  • Teach English Language Arts and Literature, Math, Social Studies, Bible, PEW, Art and Science in a grade 3 classroom.

  • Follow the Alberta curriculum and meet or exceed all Alberta Education requirements.
