About The Position

Westminster Elementary School is seeking a Grade 2 teacher to join their team at the beginning of the 2026-27 school year. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong foundation in student support and hold an unwavering belief that every child is a capable learner. The school is located on the North side of Lethbridge serving approximately 270 students and is proud of the many ways children shine there. Requirements

  • Previous experience with multi age learners.
  • Strong Literacy and Numeracy skills.
  • Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain an Alberta Teaching Certificate.
  • A police information check, including Vulnerable Sector Check from Police Services or an RCMP detachment that does not have any charges or convictions.
  • A satisfactory Intervention Record Check from South Region Alberta Child and Family Services.
  • Proof of photo identification (e.g., valid driver’s licence, provincial identification card, valid passport, or Nexus card).
  • Documentation of a valid Social Insurance Number in the employee’s legal name.

  • Previous experience with English as an Additional Language learners.
