About The Position

The Grace Music Team Intern will gain experience in various worship environments and develop their skills. Interns will collaborate with the Music and Vocal Directors to ensure excellence in the planning and execution of musical worship at Grace Church. The role involves supporting weekend services, Grace Students, and Celebrate Recovery, as well as researching new worship songs and caring for volunteers. Training will be provided in areas such as tracking, event preparation, stage setup, and personal musical preparation, with an expectation of memorizing all music and lyrics for rehearsals.

Requirements

• Familiarity with leading music alongside a click track and backing tracks.
• Basic knowledge of running a sound board.
• Ability to lead a team well.
• Talent in playing an instrument and/or singing.
• Availability for working mid-week evenings and weekends, as scheduled.
• Communicate any needed time off via direct communication with the team and/or blockout dates on Planning Center.

Nice To Haves

• Training on specific products being used will be available if needed.

Responsibilities

• Support music planning for weekend services, Grace Students, and Celebrate Recovery.
• Lead worship during weekends, Grace Students, and Celebrate Recovery as needed.
• Research new worship songs and potential specials.
• Engage intentionally with all volunteers and team members when serving.
• Track training sessions, song sessions, and tracking files for weekend services, Grace Students, and Celebrate Recovery.
• Prepare for worship events by training volunteers, sending parts emails, updating Planning Center Online (PCO) with correct mp3s and chord charts, mixing tracks in venue, tuning drums, and setting up keyboard sounds.
• Practice to proficiency and comfortability with all music/lyrics for all events, with the expectation that all parts will be memorized by rehearsal time.
