About The Position

The Government Property Specialist is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle management of government‑furnished and contractor‑acquired property in compliance with FAR, DFARS, DCMA instructions, and internal company policies. This role ensures accurate asset accountability from acquisition through final disposition, supports audit readiness, and provides critical logistics and program support.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1–5+ years of experience in logistics, contract administration, supply chain, asset management, or government property management
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to leverage available resources to accomplish objectives.

Nice To Haves

  • CPPS, CPPA, or CPPM certification preferred.
  • Experience with the Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS) (formally the Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS)) and/or the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Costpoint to register, tag, track, and maintain accurate records of government‑furnished and contractor‑acquired property, ensuring data integrity across all lifecycle stages.
  • Track movement of property by coordinating and documenting applicable forms to accomplish changes in ownership, accountability, or location in accordance with government regulations, customer contracts, and corporate policy.
  • Review contracts to identify and implement property requirements.
  • Prepare and submit property reports for customer/government property.
  • Complete property-related activities at contract completion, including disposition of property in accordance with company, legal, and contractual requirements.
  • Perform physical audits to meet company and customer requirements, verifying that property records accurately reflect inventory on hand and that equipment servicing requirements are established.
  • Investigate and report lost, damaged, or destroyed property in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate secure packaging, logistics, shipment, and transportation of equipment, ensuring compliance with contract and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate directly with Program Managers to ensure property requirements are met throughout program execution.
  • Maintain flexibility to accept work assignments in different areas as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
