About The Position

This open competitive advertisement is for a full time OPS position located at the Central Office in the Office of Information Technology. The purpose of the Government Operations Consultant I is to streamline and digitize agency processes by designing, building, and maintaining automated workflows and forms on the SimpliGov platform, ensuring compliance with regulations, providing technical support, and collaborating with teams to meet organizational needs. This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

Requirements

  • Must possess a High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and find effective solutions within the SimpliGov platform.
  • Should be able to analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for digital improvement.
  • Level 2 background check as per Chapter 435, Florida Statutes.
  • U.S. citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference will be given to those seeking, or currently holding a minimum of an associate’s degree in a computer field
  • Preference will be given to those with experience in workflow automation and form-building platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Help change paper-based tasks into faster digital processes using the SimpliGov platform.
  • Study current processes and create digital forms and workflows on SimpliGov.
  • Build automated systems that send documents and alerts to the right people.
  • Check that forms follow all state and agency rules and policies.
  • Support users with technical help, track workflow progress, and make reports using the platform.
