This is a highly responsible and professional position serving as the Government Operations Consultant I within Nursing Services. The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) is the state of Florida’s social services agency. The agency oversees services for child safety, fostering, adoption, domestic violence, adult protective services, refugees, homelessness, mental health, substance abuse, childcare providers, human trafficking and public assistance. The agency’s mission is to work in partnership with local communities to protect the vulnerable, promote strong and economically self-sufficient families, and advance personal and family recovery and resiliency. Within DCF, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health (SAMH) Program office is recognized as the single state authority for substance abuse and mental health services. The Office of SAMH is statutorily responsible for the planning, evaluation, and implementation of a comprehensive statewide system of care for the prevention, treatment, and recovery of children and adults with serious mental illnesses or substance use disorders. North Florida Evaluation and Treatment Center (NFETC) is a 216 bed, all male, forensic, mental health rehabilitation facility. The Center is located in northeast Gainesville, Florida on 639 picturesque acres with regular sightings of deer, turkey, and other wildlife. NFETC employs a variety of entry level to leadership positions including food service, maintenance, direct care, nurses, counselors, rehab therapists, medical doctors, security, psychiatrists, and psychologists. NORTH FLORIDA EVALUATION AND TREATMENT FACILITY IS A TOBACCO FREE FACILITY.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis.
  • Knowledge of basic management principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of PC-based operating systems.
  • Knowledge of file transfer Protocol (FTP) software program, principles, practices and techniques of basic web page construction.
  • Knowledge of web site development process and HTML development tools.
  • Knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques used in developing web sites, and basic web server and file systme maintenance.
  • Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document work flow and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices.
  • Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials.
  • Ability to conduct fact-finding research.
  • Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to operational and management analysis activities.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate multiple, time-sensitive assignments and maintain work records.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • A bachelor's degree from a college or university and three years of professional experience in systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation, engineering or administrative work.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates schedules with Supervisors and Timekeepers to ensure schedules have been completed in Kronos prior to payroll processing.
  • Responsible for onboarding schedules, leave requests, and schedule changes.
  • Ensures that all timesheets are accurately recorded in People First based on the information in Kronos.
  • Responsible for FMLA & Worker comp for nursing services.
  • Responsible for Assisting in OBT (on the building training).
  • Responsible for scheduling transport staff (staff that transports patients to and from appointments).
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
