About The Position

The Tooling Management Engineer will oversee end-to-end management of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and specialized tooling used to sustain F22 aircraft, handling inventory records, tool status and lifecycle tracking, and coordinating retrieval and return procedures with government partners. Responsibilities include developing joint retrieval/return processes, ensuring compliance with security and export regulations, drafting statements of work, assisting negotiations, and managing contracts for cost, schedule, and performance while tracking supplier repairs and closing out with stakeholders. This position will lead cross functional project teams of industry and government experts to define and implement program procedures, support periodic maintenance of special tooling and test equipment, and continuously identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce lead times, and improve cost efficiency. Experience in a contractor led environment or government partnership is desired.

Requirements

  • Experience with proposals/contracts
  • Self-Starter able to work with little supervision and achieve successful results that support directorate and program goals
  • Experience with building and maintaining customer relationships
  • This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with tooling inventory tracking systems (Example MAXIMO-AMS)
  • Experience with Property Management, specifically Government Furnished Equipment/Property (GFE/GFP)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Products e.g., Excel
  • Excellent communicator, who has ability to communicate to senior levels
  • Knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) requirements.
  • Knowledge of Long-term Tooling Storage
  • Leading multi-function teams
  • Experience in developing supplier requirements
  • Experience with developing contractual deliverables
