Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A COLA: DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required.
  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Control access at assigned entry and exit points by verifying identification, screening visitors, checking authorized access lists, and directing staff, guests, and vendors according to post procedures.
  • Monitor movement through restricted areas, maintain visitor logs and/or access records, and report unusual activity, policy violations, or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site protocols and supporting personnel on location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity, unsecured doors, and other security-related concerns.
