About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Government & Capital Property Manager to support the team in Huntsville, AL. This role involves managing employees who develop, coordinate, and implement property management and control activities. The position requires developing and executing project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures, and setting operational goals. The manager will acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers, and lead process improvements. Additionally, they will develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports, and provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes. The role also includes managing, developing, and motivating employees. Candidates will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process.

Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience with materials management
  • 3+ years of building stakeholder and customer relationships
  • Experience interfacing and dealing directly with government customers
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes and implementing corrective actions
  • 1+ years of experience working with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and Department of Defense (DOD) contracts
  • 1+ years of experience and/or training on FAR and DFARS compliance
  • Experience in contract administration, negotiations, and proposal development
  • Professional certification issues by the National Property Management Association (NPMA)
  • Experience with GOLD Property Management Systems or similar system
