The Government and Community Relations Manager II (GCRM) is a community relations role for experienced professionals skilled in local government and community relations. This role manages local government, business, and community relationships and issues within Duke Energy’s service territory, building support for corporate and community objectives with minimal oversight. The GCRM develops, implements, and monitors strategies for Duke Energy’s business objectives and issues through integration with internal partners. The role is responsible for shaping local public opinion and policy in the communities served by Duke Energy. The Greenwood Region GCRM will maximize public relations opportunities to enhance corporate reputation and develop enduring relationships with key community leaders and elected officials, crucial for positive policy development at local, state, and federal levels. The Greenwood Region GCRM will be the primary contact for issues associated with the company’s operations and local community leaders during major storm events, and will provide strategic Foundation and community investments aligned with company goals. The Greenwood District includes Greenwood, Laurens, Newberry, Saluda, and McCormick counties, serving approximately 38,000 Duke Energy customers.
