About The Position

The Government Analyst II is a highly responsible and professional position located within The Board of Dentistry. This position provides high-level administrative support to the Program Operations Administrator. This position exercises independent judgment in completing duties and responsibilities. Independently assists in directing and coordinating processing of licensing, pursuant to Chapter 466, F.S. and 64B-5 Florida Administrative Code, of applicants for initial licensure. The incumbent must independently perform the most complex and difficult assignments under limited supervision. The work requires applying a logical understanding of business practices and procedures in order to evaluate and analyze licensure applications. The incumbent will work one on one with applicants and licensee to provide updates and information on the status of their applications via phone, electronic communication, and in-person. The incumbent manages and maintains public facing information relating to health care licensure pathways and engages in public outreach.

Requirements

  • Must be physically present in the office to effectively perform job duties and responsibilities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze and understand laws and rules.
  • Ability to conduct fact finding research.
  • Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team to prioritize work, manage projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Must be able to learn and communicate effectively, orally and in writing, in English.
