About The Position

This position is in the Advocancy & Grants Unit within the Division of Victim Services. The Office represents the State of Florida in state and federal civil and criminal courts, from trial courts to the Supreme Court of the United States.

Requirements

  • Seven (7) years of experience in systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation, engineering or administrative work; or
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of professional experience in systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation, engineering or administrative work.
  • A master’s degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.
  • Submit a complete and accurate application profile necessary for qualifying such as dates of service, reason for leaving, etc.
  • Ensure all employment and/or detailed information about work experience is listed on the application (including military service, self-employment, job-related volunteer work, internships, etc.) and that gaps in employment are explained.
  • Ensure that applicant responses to qualifying questions are verifiable by skills and/or experience stated on the employment application and/or resume.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and overseeing the annual competitive grant application process within the Bureau.
  • Recommending updates to the application and implementing the application process.
  • Providing technical assistance to the public both verbally and in writing.
  • Coordinating the technical review process of the application.
  • Developing and conducting trainings on the grant application procedures.
  • Assisting with coordinating technical assistance needs for employees and the public which may include reviewing, redacting, and preparing reports.
