About The Position

The mission of the Florida Department of Military Affairs (DMA) is to provide management oversight of the Florida National Guard and provide units and personnel ready to support national security objectives; to protect the public safety of citizens and to contribute to the national, state and community programs that add value to the United States of America and to the State of Florida.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent; AND
  • Seven (7) years of professional, full-time-equivalent experience in Facilities Management.
  • Education may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Must be able to obtain a completion of a favorable National Agency Check background investigation clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct facility assessments statewide and QA random facilities. Travel throughout the State to include Camp Blanding Joint Training Center to physically conduct facility condition assessments for all reportable facilities, providing complete, written inspection worksheets as required.
  • Administer constant status and feedback for qualitative conditions and operational readiness of facilities IAW established procedures to include online reporting.
  • Provide technical support for the facility Software programs.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), external and internal contacts for facility software program related issues.
  • Analyze, compile, and facility software program data into usable reports by the Florida Army National Guard (FLARNG) Headquarters.
  • Create reports and trend analysis for Facility Software Program Manager and Senior Leadership to include Command Staff, National Guard Bureau (NGB), and the Department of the Army (DA) with consistent information to determine facilities requirements as well as other requirements at FLARNG installations.
  • Assist with Facility software programs data collection, data capture, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) compliance, and follow up for Offices/Sections/Directorates and FLARNG Training Sites for Army National Guard (ARNG) compliance.
  • Assist Facility Software Program Manager with data collection and database administration.
  • Specify users and user access levels for each segment of the database.
  • Assist the Facility Software Program Manager with the management of the Facility software programs for the Florida Army National Guard.
  • Responsibilities exist from the inception of each fiscal year to completion and close-out of that year and preparation for the next cycle.
  • Attend various seminars, conferences, and training sessions, as required.
  • Based off facility assessments or requests coordinates the initial administrative and planning phases for minor construction, renovation, and maintenance projects across Florida National Guard armories and readiness centers.
  • Accurate completion and routing of the State of Florida Form 799 (Project Development and Cost Estimate) to secure state funding authorization and project approval.
  • Create Facility Software training programs, instruct classes, and evaluate effectiveness of training.
  • Provide technical support for Facility Software Programs.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), external and internal contacts for Facility Software related issues.
  • Assist Subject Matter Experts with tracking changes.
