The Government Affairs Manager provides general and project support to the Government Affairs Team, manages the Premier Employee Political Action Committee (PAC), manages the Premier Government Affairs Network (GAN), assists in preparing and organizing advocacy and member-facing communications, and serves as a junior bipartisan, non-partisan lobbyist. The role involves operating as an integral part of the Government Affairs Team supporting advocacy and policy related projects, tracking legislation, preparing reports and presentations, responding to correspondence, preparing and editing correspondence, providing assistance with business line specific tools, planning and managing in-person and virtual events, coordinating and working on special projects, and providing onboarding support for new GAN members. Additionally, the manager is responsible for developing the strategic plan to expand participation in the PAC, managing PAC preparation and briefing materials, overseeing the financial and legal aspects of the PAC, writing content and maintaining the PAC website, planning for fundraising targets, and writing and distributing bi-annual PAC reports. The Government Affairs Manager will also advance Premier’s advocacy agenda with lawmakers.
