About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Governance Lead for a 12+ month contract position with a Global Financial Institution. This role is responsible for driving the execution, governance, remediation, and automation of critical reporting, risk, audit, compliance, and strategic initiatives within a technology organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leveraging automation to optimize data retrieval, reconciliation, analysis, and reporting, combining deep expertise in governance and risk management with strong technical capabilities in automation to improve operational efficiency and enable data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

• Proven track record as a Governance Lead with expertise in risk management and executive reporting
• Strong technical capabilities in automation and analytics to transform complex business challenges into actionable insights
• Advanced proficiency in at least one automation technology, such as Excel VBA, Python, Power BI, Microsoft Copilot, or AI technologies
• Experience in data governance and producing concise, risk-focused presentations for senior management
• Demonstrated strong ownership and execution discipline, successfully navigating ambiguity and managing competing priorities

Responsibilities

• Lead governance forums, executive reviews, and strategic routines across technology, risk, audit, compliance, and business stakeholders
• Manage end-to-end remediation of audit, regulatory, risk-identified, and self-identified issues, including root cause analysis, action planning, and milestone tracking
• Develop governance frameworks, operating models, procedures, and playbooks that strengthen accountability and control effectiveness
• Deliver executive reporting, governance scorecards, risk assessments, and decision-support materials that enable leadership oversight
• Transform complex governance, audit, risk, and operational data into actionable insights, trend analysis, and executive narratives
• Leverage automation and analytics technologies to optimize data retrieval, reconciliation, analysis, and reporting workflows
• Automate recurring governance, risk, compliance, and executive reporting processes, improving data quality and operational efficiency
