About The Position
The Governance Committee is a standing committee of the Centennial College Student Association Inc. (CCSAI) that oversees CCSAI’s bylaws, policies, and governance structures. This is an opportunity to learn how organizations are structured and governed, gain first-hand experience with bylaws development and strategic oversight, participate in governance training and support Board development, and make a real impact on how CCSAI operates.
Requirements
- Full-time Centennial College student
- At least two semesters remaining in their program

- Prior leadership experience
- Interest in governance, leadership, or public service
Responsibilities
- Review and recommend changes to CCSAI’s bylaws and governance policies
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of CCSAI’s governance framework
- Ensure compliance with legal and best-practice standards (including ONCA)
- Support Board member orientation and governance training initiatives
- Participate in monthly meetings and engage in key decisions
