We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Manager to join the Deltek ERP Implementation team in our Government Contract Advisory practice. CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered remote which means it does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. However, as a remote employee, you may be required to be present at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings. YOUR TEAM. Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of experience working with relational database systems.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on database development experience.
  • 2–4 years of experience leading technical teams or managing projects.
  • Experience with on-premise to cloud migration and application modernization initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL) and Oracle Database (SQL/PLSQL).
  • Deep understanding of database design, performance tuning, and optimization.
  • Experience defining and implementing migration strategies and architectural patterns.
  • Knowledge of cloud architecture constraints, including security, connectivity, and service design.
  • Experience with API-based integrations, service-oriented architecture, and middleware.
  • Ability to review, guide, and approve complex technical implementations.
  • Strong experience with data migration, validation, and reconciliation processes and strategies.
  • Working knowledge of Java for application-layer service development.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud (OCI), AWS, or Azure.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and API-driven integration patterns.
  • Experience with migration tools, ETL frameworks, or data pipelines.
  • Prior consulting or client-facing leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple concurrent database migration projects and technical teams.
  • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across migration initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical and data-related challenges.
  • Drive client engagement, including stakeholder communication, issue resolution, and decision-making.
  • Define and enforce migration standards, best practices, and reusable frameworks.
  • Mentor and coach team members, including conducting code and design reviews.
  • Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and delivery commitments.
  • Design and implement complex database migration solutions from SQL Server to Oracle.
  • Perform hands-on refactoring of SQL code, stored procedures, and database packages.
  • Lead conversion of database-resident business logic into application-layer services (e.g., Java-based APIs).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve high-impact technical and data-related migration issues.
  • Execute and oversee data validation, reconciliation, and performance tuning.
  • Prototype and validate migration approaches for complex scenarios.
