About The Position

Arcetyp LLC is seeking an experienced GovCon Controller with Deltek Costpoint experience to support a client. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial integrity and compliance of a U.S. Government contracting environment. The Controller will oversee all accounting operations, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, manage cost structures, lead audit preparations, and provide financial insights to executive leadership. This is a direct hire, W2 employee position.

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years or more experience in US Government contracting in roles including as a controller.
• Specific direct experience with Deltek Costpoint is required.
• U.S Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study is desired.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior financial management authority responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of all accounting, reporting, and financial control functions within a U.S. Government contracting environment.
• Oversee full-cycle accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, indirect rate development, project cost accounting, and monthly/quarterly/year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP, FAR, CAS (as applicable), and agency-specific requirements.
• Establish and maintain compliant cost structures, including fringe, overhead, and G&A rates.
• Monitor contract-level profitability and support pricing strategies for competitive proposals across various contract types (cost-plus, T&M, FFP, IDIQ/BPA).
• Lead audit preparation and execution for DCAA, DCMA, and independent CPA audits, ensuring accurate support for incurred cost submissions, provisional billing rates, ICE models, and financial representations in proposals.
• Partner closely with executive leadership, contracts, HR, and program management to provide timely financial insights, risk assessments, and decision support.
• Strengthen internal controls, segregation of duties, and financial policies as the organization scales.
• Manage accounting systems and financial reporting tools (Deltek, or similar).
• Mentor accounting staff.
• Play a critical role in cash-flow management, revenue forecasting, and strategic financial planning to support compliant growth within the federal marketplace.
