About The Position

The Indoor Golf Shop is hiring a Golf Simulator Installation Specialist to join their team. This role involves building premium golf simulator environments from the ground up, working in unique spaces, traveling throughout the U.S., and seeing the excitement their work creates for customers. The specialist will play a hands-on role in completing on-site golf simulator installations from start to finish, including screens, enclosures, turf, subfloor systems, AV equipment, and simulator components. They will read and follow project plans, work with the Installation Project Manager, troubleshoot challenges, maintain high standards of craftsmanship, communicate professionally with customers, and keep tools and equipment organized and safe. Approximately 85% of the role involves travel across the U.S.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in construction, installation, carpentry, flooring, handyman work, or a related field
  • Experience using power tools and hand tools
  • Ability to read and follow project plans, measurements, and instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet
  • Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
  • Professional communication and customer service skills
  • Comfortable working in customers’ homes and commercial environments
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • High school diploma or GED

  • Experience with audio/visual equipment
  • Basic PC or technology setup

  • A passion for golf or understanding of the golf swing

Responsibilities

  • Complete on-site golf simulator installations from start to finish
  • Install and assemble golf simulator screens and enclosures, turf and subfloor systems, wall and ceiling protection, TVs, monitors, cameras, and other AV equipment, and simulator components and accessories
  • Read and follow project plans, measurements, and installation instructions
  • Work closely with the Installation Project Manager to ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule
  • Troubleshoot installation challenges and find practical solutions in the field
  • Maintain a high standard of craftsmanship and attention to detail
  • Communicate professionally with customers while working in their homes or businesses
  • Keep tools, equipment, and work areas organized and safe
