About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Head Golf Professional, the Golf Shop Sales Associate is responsible for collecting appropriate fees, taking reservations, and assisting in merchandise sales. This role involves assisting customers both in person and over the phone, ensuring an exceptional customer service experience while promoting Park District services and facilities. The associate will also monitor the safety of golf patrons, collect fees, reserve tee times, and assist with the general maintenance and cleanliness of the clubhouse. Additionally, they will support the presentation and sale of merchandise and assist related staff with special duties as assigned by the Head Golf Professional, all while demonstrating and supporting District customer service standards.

Requirements

Working knowledge of the operations of golf courses and facilities.
Ability to display professionalism with patrons.
Possess excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to address complaints and resolve concerns.
Working knowledge of basic computer software. Ability to learn new software.
Must be at least 16 years old.
Subject to both office and outside environmental conditions.
Subject to modified/flexible work schedules during high volume work periods.
Ability to lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing ≤ 30 lbs on a daily basis. Lifting assistance is required when lifting > 30 lbs.
Regular onsite attendance is an essential function of this position.
