About The Position

Assists in operating the municipal golf course golf shop facility, provides excellent customer service, and promotes the golf course usage.

Requirements

• Requires excellent organizational and communications skills.
• Must be comfortable working outside comfort zone with a willingness to learn.
• Must be a team player who is able to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.
• Ability to provide excellent customer services including a desire to help customers regardless of their circumstance.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Must have the ability to learn additional applications as they are applied to working assignments.
• Ability to maintain cooperative-working relationships with employees and those contacted in the course of work.
• Requires customer service orientation and above average reading, writing and math skills.
• Position requires applicant to pass a credit check and a Federal/National criminal background check.
• Must have a valid Texas driver's license with an acceptable driving record as defined by City policy.
• Must pass a pre-employment basic physical, drug screen, and functional assessment screening (Level 1).

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of the game of golf, equipment, rules, etc. preferred.
• Ability to work with various computer related programs is preferred.
• Knowledge of the game of golf, equipment, rules, etc. and a certain level of golf proficiency and the ability to communicate this expertise is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers, runs the check-in counter, collects greens fees, sells available merchandise and assists customers with their clubs.
• Stocks displays and monitors golf merchandise inventory levels.
• Maintains the clubhouse and grounds by picking up trash, etc.
• Uses computer system for data entry on daily sales and tournaments.
• Monitors driving range and parking lot.
• Performs other duties related to the Golf operations and customer service.
• Performs related duties as directed when such duties are a logical and appropriate assignment to the position.
• Regular and timely attendance are required for this position.
• Interacts professionally and respectfully with the public, coworkers and others in the course of daily work.
