About The Position

The Golf Shop Attendant manages all aspects of the club’s golf operation. This includes the pro shop, outside services, and merchandising. The role involves assisting the Head Golf Professional in planning, promoting, and directing all golf activities, developing merchandise sales and promotions, ordering supplies, assisting with tournament operations, and maintaining various logs. The attendant is also responsible for completing customer transactions.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and club point of sales systems.
• Understanding of Club financials.
• Evaluation of customer satisfaction and responsiveness.
• Knowledge of shop inventory.
• Attention to detail.
• Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment that is typical of this position.
• Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling.
• Frequent repetitive motions.
• Continuous standing and walking.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
• Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the golf shop.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Head Golf Professional in planning, promoting, and directing all golf activities.
• Developing merchandise sales and promotions during holidays, specials events, and times when sales are slow.
• Ordering supplies for the golf shop as directed by the Head Golf Professional.
• Assisting the Head Golf Professional with all tournament operations.
• Maintaining all logs (comp, rain check, monthly range, etc).
• Completing customer transactions.
