The Golf Course Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, service and preventative maintenance of all golf course equipment related machinery. This includes reel and rotary mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, golf carts, sprayers, small engines, tow behind equipment, backhoes, loaders and other turf and grounds maintenance equipment used in the day to day operation of the golf course. The role is essential to ensure all equipment is safe, reliable and operating at a standard that supports high quality course conditions and efficient operations. This reflects the scope commonly used in Ontario and aligns with the province’s Turf Equipment Technician trade, which specifically covers mowing equipment, golf carts, traction units, sprayers, small powered equipment and tow behind equipment.
