Requirements

Minimum of 3 years industrial maintenance or heavy equipment and motorized equipment experience required
Advanced understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanics
Basic understanding of electrical systems and CNC equipment
Capable of operating hand, power and specialized tools
Comfortable with computers. The ability to use Microsoft Office (including Excel); competent with iPads/tablets/smart phones
Good organization skills and attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal, communication and listening skills
Ability to respond properly in any emergency or safety situations
Must be able to work a flexible scheduled including weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) preferred

Responsibilities

Ensure correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Troubleshoot and maintain engines, conveyors, electrical systems, CNC machinery, pneumatic tools and hydraulic equipment.
Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing metrics.
Source replacement parts and perform repairs.
Attend daily shift meetings to prioritize work orders and minimize downtime.
Safely operate cranes, power tools, hoists and hand tools.
Assess the condition of used parts using micrometers, calipers and specifications.
Assist in maintaining parts and tools inventory.
Read and prepare work orders using maintenance reports and summary presentations using daily activity logs, analysis and trends.
Maintain electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical knowledge via on-going training, industry workshops and technical reading.
Inspect vehicles before and after repairs in order identify faulty components and ensure complete fixing.
Comply with health/safety regulations and procedures, ensuring appropriate disposal of environmental wastes such as used vehicle oils.
Assist in preparing and updates to the general manager on work activities.
