About The Position

The seasonal Golf Course Turf and Grounds Maintenance position is responsible for helping to ensure the cleanliness, playability, and general appearance of the Cedarholm Golf Course. This role involves assisting in turf maintenance to enhance the golfer's experience. Additionally, the position may support turf equipment maintenance and indoor clubhouse operations as directed by the Recreation Program Supervisor and/or Superintendent.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work independently to complete daily activities according to work/facility schedule.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
• Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of applicable work hazards and safety precautions.
• Ability to work early morning hours, weekends, weekdays, and holidays, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of turf maintenance operations, including mowing, trimming, weeding, and watering.
• Assist on special projects and turf cultural practices such as aeration, seeding, and tree removal/pruning.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the maintenance shop and community building.
• Ensure the safety of patrons and fellow staff members by maintaining the grounds and enforcing course and facility rules.
• Provide customer service to golfers/public as needed or requested.
• Establish effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors, and the general public.
• Continually show respect for diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and interests.
• Exhibit sensitivity to the needs of diverse audiences in all duties performed on behalf of the City to support Roseville in building and sustaining an inclusive and equitable working environment and community.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
