About The Position

Broad Bay Country Club is seeking a skilled and experienced Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the maintenance and care of its golf course. The role is responsible for maintaining high course standards and ensuring an exceptional experience for members and guests. The ideal candidate has a passion for golf course management, a strong turfgrass-maintenance background, and the ability to lead a dedicated team.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in golf course management or a related field.
Strong knowledge of turfgrass, irrigation systems, and golf course equipment.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Proficiency in budget management and cost control.

Responsibilities

Implement and execute turfgrass maintenance programs to support the health and appearance of the golf course.
Monitor and manage irrigation systems for optimal water usage and turf health.
Oversee mowing, aerification, topdressing, and other cultural practices.
Manage and maintain bunkers, greens, fairways, and other course features to meet or exceed established standards.
Lead, train, and motivate groundskeeping staff.
Schedule and coordinate daily tasks for efficient course maintenance.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Assist with developing and managing the annual golf course maintenance department budget.
Monitor expenses and work within budgetary constraints.
Implement and promote sustainable and environmentally responsible golf course practices.
Stay current with industry trends and golf course management best practices.
