Raritan Landing Golf Course, in Piscataway, NJ is owned by the Middlesex County Parks Department and managed by Indigo Sports, a subsidiary of Troon Golf. This 3,300-yard, par-58, 18-hole golf course, designed by Stephen Kay, opened on October 1, 1999, and offers players a premium on shot making and accuracy. With small greens and narrow fairways, Raritan Landing can provide a true test for all golfers despite its short length. The course is an 18-hole executive course that sees 20-25k rounds annually. The greens are Bent/poa (2.5 Acres), Tees, Fairways and Apps are Rye/ poa/ bent (8 acres). The course has a new pump station and a newer equipment fleet with new pieces added annually. The agronomy operating budget is around $475k. The company is seeking a motivated candidate to grow with Troon, make their mark at Raritan Landing and move on to a full-size 18-hole property within 3-5 years. They are actively working to elevate the Middlesex County public course portfolio with strong capital influx from the county. The next superintendent at Raritan Landing will play an integral part of this movement as early planning has begun for renovations to Raritan Landing including a new irrigation system.
