Sports Field Solutions is seeking a Golf Course Superintendent/Sports Turf Manager to maintain immaculate golf facilities and sports fields at Abilene Christian University. Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience operating at the Division I level or 5+ years experience working in the golf and sports turf industry.
• Passion for producing high-quality work.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Inclination to value teamwork over ego.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a premium golf practice facility (Bentgrass and Bermudagrass) & sports field surfaces (Bermudagrass) by performing best practices in mowing, fertilization, pest management, aeration, moisture management, top dressing, verticutting and more.
• Preparing, maintaining, and restoring all golf, soccer, and intramural playing surfaces.
• Monitor, report and resolve field issues such as turf stress, disease, irrigation problems and pest management issues.
• Ability to work weekends when required.
• Communicating with grounds staff, as well as school officials and coaches on scheduling of athletic events.
