Requirements

Experience with golf course or grounds maintenance.
Ability to operate and maintain spray equipment.
Knowledge of pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers.
Understanding of turfgrass management principles.
Ability to read and understand product labels and safety data sheets (SDS).
Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

Pest Control Applicator License or certification.
Experience with integrated pest management (IPM) techniques.
Knowledge of Southern California golf course conditions.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain spray equipment for the application of pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers.
Calibrate spray equipment to ensure accurate and efficient application rates.
Mix and load chemicals according to product labels and safety guidelines.
Monitor turf conditions and identify pest, disease, or weed problems.
Apply chemicals safely and effectively to control pests, diseases, and weeds.
Maintain detailed records of all chemical applications, including dates, locations, rates, and weather conditions.
Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Assist with other golf course maintenance tasks as needed, such as mowing, raking, and course setup.
