About The Position

Falcon's Fire Golf Club is seeking a Golf Course Irrigation Technician responsible for the programming, operation, and maintenance of the golf course irrigation systems. This role involves reporting any irregularities in turf quality to the Foreman and ensuring the overall upkeep of the irrigation systems and related areas. The position offers a full-time schedule with a benefits package and is located at a premier Florida golf destination known for its immaculate course and high level of service.

Requirements

Two years of underground lawn sprinkler system repair and installation experience OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Good organizational and verbal skills.
Ability to use logical and rational thinking to resolve issues.
Ability to perform basic mathematical skills, monitors and develops subordinates, visually monitor the operation areas, write and read member communication.
Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift up to 80 lbs. and up to 40 lbs. frequently.
Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, lifting and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting.
Ability to consistently lift, carry and load adaptive and other sports equipment that may weigh 50 or more pounds, and sustain aerobic activity for 20 consecutive minutes.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the upkeep, repairs and maintenance of the irrigation systems.
Responsible for the cleanliness of the irrigation parts room and maintains inventory of the supplies.
Waters and fertilizes tees, greens and fairways, also applies chemicals on the greens.
Operates irrigation heads in dry areas requiring more attention.
Completes purchase orders and submits them to the Superintendent for authorization.
Assists the Assistant Superintendent in managing the team members.
Maintains a clean golf course and maintenance complex.
Must be able to perform the duties of an Equipment Operator.
Demonstrates courtesy to all Members and guests at all times.
Report any irregularities in the turf quality to the Foreman.
