About The Position

The Golf Course Maintenance Operator learns and performs tasks associated with the daily maintenance and setup of an upscale golf course in a safe, detail-oriented manner. Duties include preparing the course by changing cups, moving tee and hazard markers, emptying trash cans, filling divot buckets, cleaning comfort stations, and handling other course details. The role operates mowing equipment, tractor-drawn equipment, and two-cycle hand tools, and applies granular fertilizers, wetting agents, and pesticides. The operator is responsible for the safety of themself, fellow employees, members, and guests.

Bonita Bay Club is a private club in Bonita Springs, Florida, situated within the Bonita Bay community. Its facilities include five championship golf courses, tennis and pickleball courts, a resort-style pool, a fitness center, spa, and salon.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of golf course maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to work for long periods while walking, standing, or stooping.
• Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions and instructions.
• Must comply with and support the Drug Free Workplace Policy.
• Team-oriented attitude.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily golf course maintenance and setup tasks safely and with attention to detail.
• Change cups and move tee markers and hazard markers.
• Empty trash cans, fill divot buckets, clean comfort stations, and address other course details.
• Operate tee, fairway, and rough mowers.
• Operate tractor-drawn equipment, including pull-frame fairway and rough mowers, top dressers, topdress trailers, front-end loaders, tractor-drawn sprayers, and bush hog mowers.
• Operate two-cycle hand tools, including string trimmers, edgers, and hand blowers.
• Apply granular fertilizers, wetting agents, and pesticides.
• Help ensure the safety of self, fellow employees, members, and guests.
