About The Position

Miami Lakes Golf Club, established in 1962, is undergoing a significant renovation and redevelopment. The course is being redesigned by Bruce Hepner, focusing on native Florida trees, improved drainage, and restoring original hole layouts. This $110 million project also includes a new clubhouse, banquet hall, apartments, and commercial spaces. The Golf Maintenance Groundskeeper role is essential during this renovation period, ensuring high standards are maintained and facilities are in pristine condition for the reopening in Fall 2025. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a historic redevelopment and contribute to the future of a premier golf destination.

Requirements

Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the company.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Ability to comprehend and learn tasks associated with golf course maintenance.
Working knowledge of and ability to use hand and power tools, as well as other equipment.
Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. as needed.
Must possess ability to work with minimal supervision.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and follow through.
Must be able to work outside in the typical climate conditions and temperatures of Florida.
Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

Perform routine manual labor involved in golf course maintenance.
Mowing of greens, tees, fairways and rough.
Preparing bunkers for daily play.
Changing of cups/flags on greens and moving tee markers.
Operating a string trimmer to edge cart paths, bunkers, sprinkler heads, and drains.
Operating light equipment in hauling materials and removing debris.
Incorporating safe work practices in job performance.
Performing other duties as required.
