About The Position
Governors Club is seeking individuals with a passion for the outdoors, grounds maintenance, and golf to join our Golf Course Maintenance team. This entry-level position involves assisting with tasks related to mowing and course conditioning. The role requires the ability to operate small equipment such as string trimmers, fly mowers, walking greens mowers, sand pro, and utility vehicles. Experienced and high-performing operators may have the opportunity to learn to operate larger equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors, all seasons, and in all weather conditions
- 18 years in age by the start date
- Valid Driver's License
Nice To Haves
- Some Landscape maintenance experience preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Mow Fairways
- Wood working
- Painting
- Irrigation repairs
- Tree trimming
- Operate small equipment
- Walk mowing greens
- Set golf course; cut cups, move tee markers
- Hand raking and power raking bunkers
- String trimming creeks and other parts of the course
- Edging curbs
- Help to complete various small projects such as sodding, tree removal, bunker renovation, etc.
- Help ensure the maintenance facility is kept neat and clean and all equipment is being washed off properly
