About The Position

The City of Greer is currently accepting applications for a part-time Golf Cart Attendant in the Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department at the City of Greer’s golf course. This position involves preparing golf carts for customer use, assisting customers, cleaning and maintaining carts and the golf course premises, and providing information and assistance to golfers. The role requires flexible availability, physical stamina, and a positive attitude.

Requirements

Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Minimum Age 16.
Ability to Stand 6-8 Hours.
A positive attitude while on the job is also essential.

Responsibilities

Prepares golf carts for daily use by customers
Greets customers and assists with loading and unloading equipment on carts
Cleans and washes carts after each use
Picks up golf balls on driving range, cleans balls, and prepares for re-use
Repairs divots on the course as needed
Maintains cleanliness of putting green
Cleans paths, sidewalks, parking lots, and exterior of clubhouse
Secures building and carts each night
Provides relative information regarding golf course conditions, local rules, expected playing time, golf course safety, emergency procedures, golf course etiquette, and other golf related issues
Verifies receipts of players
Assists players as necessary with carts, scorecards, and rules of play
Maintains clean and orderly appearance of the starter's area at all times
Provides emergency assistance to golfers as necessary
Observes and coordinates pace of play
