About The Position

The Golf Course Attendant – Events is responsible for coordinating facility rentals, special events, and banquet operations at the golf course. This position serves as the primary point of contact for event clients, managing reservations, preparing rental agreements, collecting fees, coordinating event logistics, and ensuring successful event execution. Responsibilities include conducting facility tours, maintaining event schedules and records, coordinating with staff, vendors, and contractors, and providing on-site support during events. The Event Coordinator assists with event setup and breakdown, monitors events to ensure compliance with facility policies, and provides exceptional customer service to event organizers and guests. This position primarily works evenings, weekends, holidays, and other hours as needed to support scheduled events. Limited assistance with pro shop and food and beverage operations may be required during periods of high demand or staffing needs. Positions allocated to this classification report to a designated supervisor and work under general supervision. Work in this class is distinguished from higher-level classifications by its lack of administrative responsibility and from lower classes by responsibility for cash handling and inventory controls, as well as the ability to perform routine tasks with less supervision. The Golf Course Attendant is a versatile, customer-focused position responsible for supporting pro shop operations, food and beverage service, and golf event activities. This role provides front-line service to guests by managing tee times, processing transactions, preparing and serving food and beverages, and maintaining clean and organized facilities. While primarily an indoor position, the attendant may assist with outdoor duties during tournaments and special events. Positions allocated to this classification report to a designated supervisor and work under general supervision. Work in this class is distinguished from higher-level classifications by its lack of administrative responsibility and from lower classes by responsibility for cash handling and inventory controls, as well as the ability to perform routine tasks with less supervision. This is a hybrid position working between the Pro Shop and Food & Beverage Service.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years old or older at the time of appointment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License required at time of hire.
  • Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Food Handler Certification upon hire.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Duties involve standing for extended periods, light to moderate lifting, and working in a busy customer service environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous customer service, retail, or food service experience preferred.
  • Experience handling cash and operating point-of-sale systems preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of golf operations is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with setup and breakdown for tournaments, leagues, and special events.
  • Register participants and distribute tournament materials.
  • Provide customer service and operational support during events.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the pro shop, kitchen, bar, lobby, and common areas.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and cash-handling procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
