Under the general supervision of the Sr. Pro Shop Attendant/Clubhouse Supervisor, this role performs a variety of duties involving the operation of the clubhouse facility. Tasks include cashiering in the pro shop, cart attendant, ranger, starter, and food and beverage duties. The position requires discretion and diplomatic skills in representing policies and working effectively with city personnel, officials, and the public. Flexibility and availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays are essential. The role involves opening and closing the pro shop/restaurant, verifying tee times and payments, aiding in the operation of the automated tee time system, collecting various fees and revenues, greeting golfers, answering inquiries, selling merchandise, and assisting with temporary staff scheduling. Food and beverage duties include cooking, serving, bartending, operating a beverage cart, and setting up the driving range. Additional responsibilities include maintaining range ball supplies, operating golf ball retrieval equipment, filling water coolers, picking up trash, cleaning and staging golf carts, performing routine cart inspections, controlling the start and flow of play, and enforcing golf course rules and etiquette.
