About The Position

Congressional Country Club is seeking seasonal Golf Course & Grounds Interns for the 2027 golf season. This internship offers students practical, hands-on experience in golf course maintenance at one of the country's premier private clubs. The 2027 class will operate from a brand-new, state-of-the-art maintenance facility, which includes exceptional intern housing. Interns will help prepare the Club to host the 2027 KPMG Women's PGA Championship while supporting our commitment to providing an exceptional experience for members and guests.

Requirements

• Enrollment in-or an interest in enrolling in-an accredited two- or four-year turf management program
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle
• Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to solve problems
• Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to visually inspect golf course and clubhouse grounds conditions
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• A willingness to learn and contribute as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Assisting with daily golf course setup and maintenance
• Learning fertilizer and pesticide calibration and proper application practices
• Supporting irrigation troubleshooting and repairs
• Developing skills in disease identification and turf management
• Assisting with water management on USGA and push-up greens
• Gaining exposure to equipment maintenance operations
• Learning about clubhouse horticulture and grounds maintenance
• Helping prepare the Club for the 2027 KPMG Women's PGA Championship
