About The Position

TPC Louisiana, located 15 miles outside of downtown New Orleans in Avondale, offers an award-winning championship golf course open to the public. It is home to the state’s only PGA TOUR event, the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, and hosts many other events throughout the year. The Course Advisor/Starter monitors play on the golf course, politely requests slow groups to speed up play, and welcomes Members and Guests, reminding them of special play conditions. The role is part of the TPC Network team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Basic knowledge of golf.
• Ability to comply with all applicable federal, state and local safety and health regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a golf country club preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor play on the golf course and politely request slow groups to speed up play.
• Welcome Members and Guests to the course and remind them of special play conditions, such as keeping cars on car paths.
• Assist PGA TOUR players, Members and Guests with their golfing needs, ensuring their golf experience is smooth and enjoyable.
• Greet and welcome all Members and Guests, positively promoting the service philosophy of TPC and PGA TOUR Golf Course Properties, Inc.
• Communicate emergency and safety information to Members and Guests calmly and clearly when an alarm is sounded.
• Observe play on the golf course and ensure the standard for pace of play is communicated and maintained daily.
• Assist Members and Guests with information to help them play the course (e.g., yardage markers on sprinkler heads to middle of green).
• Perform special projects or other duties as assigned.
