We are seeking an energetic and service-driven Golf Assistant Manager to play a key leadership role in delivering golf operations and guest service. Job Purpose: Manages all outside services. Assist in developing and facilitating business operation strategies and needs. Responsible for creating a positive and engaging work environment for the Team Members, providing superior guest service while operating effectively and efficiently. All responsibilities will be carried out in compliance with all policies, procedures and applicable laws.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • 1 year minimum of supervisor/manger experience.
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of golf.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexible schedule must be able to work 7 days a week and work early morning and late nights.
  • Must be able to traverse various athletic grounds and facilities.
  • Prolonged periods of standing or walking.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time.

Responsibilities

  • Administers the daily work schedule of the outside operations team.
  • Deliver great internal/external service by Communicating effectively and professionally with all associates and guests.
  • Supervise Pro Shop Staff and Outside Operations Team
  • Assist in the receiving of goods, products, Ext.
  • Assist in submitting all merchandise invoices to the controller in a timely manner
  • Assist in merchandizing and inventory counts when needed.
  • Oversee the operations of a well-managed practice facility.
  • Assist with player services and the pace of play when on duty.
  • Enforce all the facility rules and regulations governing the use of the golf course, golf cars, and other golf facilities.
  • Assist with promoting all club golf activities.
  • Assist in and helps manage an innovative tournament program that services all members and outside play.
  • Assist with golf instruction & golfer development programs in conjunction with Golf Academy.
  • Assist in administering all daily operations including, but not limited to: facilitating sales, assisting with merchandise, operating POS system, acts as ranger at times, starter, and guest relations, outside service or golf shop shifts
  • Assist with the recruitment, hiring, training and supervision including assistants, outside service staff
  • Manage all outside service duties.
  • Training Outside Services Attendants, providing guidance to team members, instructing staff on departmental policies and procedures, monitoring team members performance and reporting and addressing all out of compliance behaviors.
  • Ensures the overall upkeep of the bag storage room, cart storage area and parking lot.
  • Inventories and controls all guest supplies.
  • Assists in monitoring and policing all player service activity and etiquette.
  • Assists in educating players regarding course policy, current cart policy, and speed of play.
  • Maintains the cart storage area and cart wash down area in a neat, clean and orderly condition.
  • Oversees golf carts for play following the standards.
  • Ensures proper staging of golf carts during the day.
  • Performs range maintenance such as: presenting practice facility with practice balls, bag stands, and maintains ball inventory over the course of the day.
  • May direct start or stop of play
  • Assists in the coordination of department members that may include, but is not limited to: Guest Services Attendants, club services and Starters/marshals.
  • Assists in monitoring business volume forecast and plans accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs and other expenses.
  • Communicate any changes or new policies and procedures to the department.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Performs other duties as required.
