About The Position

ImagineX is a technology company that deploys AI-assisted teams to build and secure mission-critical enterprise solutions across software, data, and AI. The company’s dedicated teams work across the U.S. and LATAM, combining boutique agility with enterprise scale. ImagineX is seeking a Senior GoLang Developer to lead the development of scalable, resilient backend services and contribute to modern React.js applications. The role includes architecting and implementing platform components, optimizing system performance, collaborating with product, DevOps, and engineering leadership, and influencing engineering direction. It is fully onsite at a client’s office in Midtown Atlanta, Monday through Friday; candidates must be able to commute to the site daily. The position is open only to U.S. citizens and permanent residents who do not require visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 5 years of backend engineering experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on Go development.
At least 2 years of professional experience building applications with React.js, including hooks, state management, and component-driven architecture.
Experience building microservices and distributed systems at scale.
Proficiency with REST, gRPC, GraphQL, or event-driven architectures.
Deep experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, caching layers, and message queues.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
Ability to write clean, maintainable, idiomatic Go code.
Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday at the client's office in Midtown Atlanta.
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and not require visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Experience with high-throughput, low-latency systems.
Experience with Next.js, front-end testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright, and front-end performance optimization.
Experience with Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging systems.
Knowledge of domain-driven design (DDD) or clean architecture.
Prior consulting or client-facing experience.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Go.
Build and maintain responsive, reusable React.js components and front-end features that integrate with Go-based APIs.
Architect distributed systems and microservices with a focus on scalability, reliability, and observability.
Design and document clean, well-versioned APIs, including REST, gRPC, or GraphQL APIs.
Optimize performance across APIs, data pipelines, and service-to-service communication.
Implement best practices for code quality, testing, CI/CD, and cloud-native deployment.
Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests across backend and front-end codebases.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, DevOps, and frontend teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Work onsite with client stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify priorities, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Lead technical decisions around system design, data modeling, and infrastructure.
Apply application security best practices, including authentication, authorization, input validation, and secure data handling.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and architectural guidance.
Troubleshoot complex production issues, including performance bottlenecks and distributed-system failures.
Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and agile ceremonies with the client's engineering teams.
Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and runbooks.
Evaluate and adopt AI-assisted development tools and practices to accelerate delivery and improve quality.
Contribute to technical roadmaps and long-term engineering strategy.
